Refund & Returns Policy
Estates To Go — Estate Sale & Consignment Items
Because our inventory consists primarily of estate sale, liquidation, consignment, and one-of-a-kind items, our general policy is that all sales are final. We still aim to be fair and do the right thing when special circumstances arise.
All Sales Are Final
Most items sold by Estates To Go are pre-owned, vintage, or acquired through estate and liquidation sales. As such:
- All items are sold “as-is”.
- All sales are final.
- We do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds once an item has been picked up or shipped.
Exceptions (Handled Case-by-Case)
While refunds and returns are not guaranteed, we may consider exceptions at our sole discretion in limited circumstances, such as:
- The item was significantly misrepresented in the listing.
- The item arrived materially damaged due to handling or shipping.
- A major undisclosed defect was discovered that materially affects the item’s intended use.
Time window: Requests must be submitted within 48 hours of pickup or delivery.
What to include: Photos + a written description of the issue.
How we resolve: If approved, we may offer store credit, partial refund, replacement (if available), or refund to the original payment method.
Items Not Eligible for Refunds
- Buyer’s remorse or change of mind
- Size, color, or style preferences
- Normal wear consistent with age and use
- Items damaged after pickup or customer-arranged transport
- Items not inspected prior to pickup (when inspection was available)
Pickup & Shipping Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for inspecting items prior to pickup.
- Once an item leaves our possession or is marked as picked up, responsibility transfers to the buyer.
- For shipped items, please inspect packages upon delivery and report issues promptly.
Consignment Items
Some items are sold on behalf of third-party consignors. In these cases, refunds are more limited and Estates To Go may need to coordinate with the consignor before any exception is approved.
